Interfaith Action for Human Rights (IAHR)
Suzanne O'Hatnick (president of IAHR and member of Stony Run Friends Meeting)
Description of Resource:
Interfaith Action for Human Rights is a mid-Atlantic coalition of faith communities that seeks to change the culture, policy or practices that cause torture or violate human dignity. IAHR members work on the issue of solitary confinement and conditions of confinement in Maryland, Virginia and DC. In cooperation with T'ruah and Shoulder to Shoulder IAHR has initiated a nation-wide campaign to counter Islamophobia through a banner project that encourages internal discussion within faith groups and also is a public declaration. Honor God - Say NO to anti-Muslim bigotry is one version of the banner. For more information about IAHR and how you can participate, go to www. interfaithactionhr.org or contact IAHR Executive Director Rabbi Charles Feinberg at email@example.com.
